Duane1611 Posted Saturday at 06:12 PM Posted Saturday at 06:12 PM Evening all, had many Audi's but new to Audi owners club.聽 I'm trying to fit C7 S Line full electric seats to my C6 SE. Physically they fit but a couple of the plugs are different. I've cut my airbag plug off my C6 and soldered it to the C7 seats but the red plug has many more wires of different colours and there's a box underneath the C7 seats that isn't on the C6 seats. Is this the kit for memory? Any advice how to make the adaption? I've attached a few pics for reference... Cheers in advance 馃憤聽
Steve Q Posted Saturday at 07:12 PM Posted Saturday at 07:12 PM What we've seen when people have fitted different seats is if they've tampered either the airbag wires it causes the airbag warning light to illuminate. So the easiest way is to remove the airbags from your current seats and fit them to the new seats.聽 This advice obviously comes a little late for you.聽
Solution Duane1611 Posted Saturday at 08:34 PM Author Solution Posted Saturday at 08:34 PM Ah, oops. Is it because the C7 bag creates a conflict with the C6 electronics? I changed the connector from C7 to C6, hoping that'll do the trick. I'm gonna talk to an Audi retrofit specialist on Monday, hopefully they can employ witchcraft to resolve the problem.聽 If not I might have some very nice C7 S Line seats for sale.... Cheers聽
Duane1611 Posted 14 hours ago Author Posted 14 hours ago I'm booked in with HazzyDayz in Markyate who can wire the C7 seats into my C6 so I think it's job done 馃槉
