cliffcoggin Posted Sunday at 11:40 AM Posted Sunday at 11:40 AM I believe the mechanical linkage from door handle to lock is defective. You will need to remove the door card to get access to it.
Rizwan Patel Posted Sunday at 04:42 PM Author Posted Sunday at 04:42 PM Thanks pal. Going to ask a silly question. What you mention regarding mechanical linkage. Is this unit/part I can replace if so what would it called? If it's something else could you advise please. Again thanks for the help much appreciated
cliffcoggin Posted Sunday at 05:23 PM Posted Sunday at 05:23 PM I have no idea as I have never seen inside a A6 door. It might be rod, it might be a cable. Have a look online for specific guidance.
Cantata Posted Sunday at 06:11 PM Posted Sunday at 06:11 PM I have exactly the same problem, started yesterday. Looked on youtube but haven’t found an entry there yet that gives me confidence to tackle it.

alpha omega Posted Monday at 10:36 AM Posted Monday at 10:36 AM (edited) i know its not the right side but will this give you some idea Edited Monday at 10:39 AM by alpha omega
Cantata Posted Monday at 07:39 PM Posted Monday at 07:39 PM Thanks alpha omega. On mine the lock is definitely making a noise when triggered by the key buttons, so maybe it's something inside the lock itself that's failed. Anyway I'll put up with it for now until the weather warms up....! 1
