CBeza Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Hi, please can you let me know the best and most cost value place to take my Audi A3 2012 model for a MOT and service in South Wales, the engine light and safety belt/air bag warning light is on, some labour cost may be involved. All advice and previouse good/bad experience welcome, thanks
Steve Q Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Itl need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. The airbag warning light could just be due to a loose airbag wire under the passenger seat. 1
Magnet Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Hello Charles, Is S. Wales a typo for S.West? - due to your location being Cornwall. Kind regards, Gareth. 1
Magnet Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Are you intending to return to answer the question Charles? 1

Thanks for advice, diagnostic say electrical fault, where do i find a trusted auto electrician in Sout Walesa ?
Magnet Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Hello Charles, Where abouts in S.Wales? - big area! I have used a small independent west of St. Clears to good effect. Kind regards, Gareth. 1
Chris James Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Hello Charles, I live in South Wales and take my Audi S7 to R-Tec of Swansea 01792 897575 They have just moved to a new workshop facility in Gorseinon, Swansea and its an impressive set up. They do all Germen cars and high performance vehicles, but they specialise in Audi's. They do get busy and so if you need to book your car in, dont delay too long Regards Chris 2
CBeza Posted February 9 Author Posted February 9 Im staying in Porthcawl, took my Audi to NG Motors in Cardiff, did interim service and MOT, needed 2 new tyres, total was £400. They could not deal with the engine light and air bag light being on, said it was an electrical fault and that i need to take it to an auto electrician. They reset it so that it could pass the MOT but the light came straight back on, wish I had taken it to R-Tec in hindsight. Thank you Gareth and Chris for your advice 1
Chris James Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Hi Charles, Obviously I dont know how long you will be staying in the S/Wales area, but if that light is staying on and a cause of concern, it might be worth a conversation with, or better still a visit to R-Tec. Anyway, best of luck getting it sorted. 2
CBeza Posted February 10 Author Posted February 10 Thanks Chris for your advice, I have a mobile electrician coming to sort it all tomorrow, hope it all goes smoothly. Thanks or your input
