HeLi Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago HI all, this is Heinz from Germany. I am an owner of an A3 sportback quattro (8Y) in dolphin grey metallic with a "40 TDI" diesel engine (147kW/200 hp). After using an VW Gof 7 GTD for about 10 years (and 257000 km) I felt it is time for a chnage... My first priority was to go with a´facelifted VW Golf 8 GTD with this great diesel engine. However, these "smart guys" in Wolfsburg decided to take this engine out of their sales program; no 200hp diesel engines are available with VW Golf MK 8.5 since summer 2024 anymore!! A GTI was not my choice at any time; so I was searching for a showroom A3 from Audi dealers in entire Germany. In December I finally found it, in a small subsidairy of big VW/AUDI dealer near to Düsseldorf, in the north of Cologne.. My A3 quattro from April 2024 with 12500 km As always if you buy an "used" car, some features and functions are missing to callt "my car". Only after the implementation of two small things/items I will be happy to 100% with this excellent car: I want to add the "drive select" feature and the missing "front PDC" (PD is available in the back of car, PR number 7X1). I found out that Audi itself is selling so called "Audi Nachrüstlösungen" (additional kits) , BUT ONLY up to 8V and NOT for 8Y!! I contacted Audi and asked whether there are plans to upgrade those kits, but the Ingolstadt guys said: NO!!! I wonder if there are some tech guys out there in the UK who have been adding the above mentioned features to their own A3 (hands-on) who can discuss very specific (!!) and very detailed questions with me, either via mail or in the forum publicly..... The questions I have are dealing with (for drive select) > the two wires that need to be "pinned in"/added to the new switch unit in the center console console and (for the front PDC) > with control unit and the cables connectivity between sensors in the bumper and the control unit.. Is there anybody who can help me? Regards, Heinz
