Great to have it done however, especially with the frosty mornings we have been getting lately. Details of the misery is contained in the video below. Pan Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 Iwan in this video reckons you can pull the whole blower assembly out. Maybe a better way.

I think gunk is related to the EGR cooler. I tried flushing the core in place. Didn't work. Fitted a few coolant filters which just blocked up with the soup. Dodgy enough approach in hindsight as creates alot of back pressure which could blow a hose. It wasn't a small filter either! My silica bag had a small hole but I don't think it was the issue. Tbh i think i released the teaspoon of silca below into the system, trying to pull out the old bag. You want to remove the tank before pulling it out. They are glued in place firmly on these. Pan Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 (edited) You could go and fit a filter having done a full flush as per vid and switch to g12evo. Not sure its required. Coolant is staying clear so far. Timing belt is due this year or next so will re assess then. Edited February 8 by Pan
