Hi my car was off the road for a few months.  It needed jump starting.  But now my MMI won't work , theres Just a blank screen .I Took it to volcksmaster but they couldn't find anything on there diagnostic computer? Any one had this problem or got any  solution? Many thanks

There's a good chance your battery is damaged as a result of being allowed to discharge too far. I suggest you get it professionally tested and replaced if necessary.

Note that (a) a volt meter test is not sufficient, and (b) a new battery must be coded to the car.

I would have expected Volksmaster to have tested the battery as a first response to an electrical problem. Did they? Did you inform them the battery had been flattened?

Hi , I did tell them that the battery had been flat , I'm not sure if they tested it. They said they suspect the mmi has gone down during jump start. But said they want £250 to further investigate which id rather avoid if i can as they said they  still might not find anything. They did a forced reboot and still didn't find anything.

Perhaps it might be better to get the battery tested elsewhere. Halfords are often recommended on the forum, though I am not keen on them.

Try holding the power button down for 15 seconds till the MMI screen says initializing.
