Cynide Posted Tuesday at 11:26 AM Posted Tuesday at 11:26 AM Hi All, I've recently purchased my '13 Audi A4 2.0 165kw and have noticed it smokes after idling for a few minutes. I'm never sure if the smoke I see during warming up is normal as it has been cold and other cars seem to do it as well but when it idles for a few minutes, it starts to smoke. The video was taken by the VAG specialist who gave it a clear bill of health, until I asked him to idle for a bit. He's unsure and would be speculating that it is the issue that these engines have. I thought the B8.5 fixed this, so not sure what to think. The car pulls well and there is no lumpiness or stuttering. I've attached the video for viewing and comments. Kev-P Posted Tuesday at 03:10 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:10 PM Hi Brett, could be the crankcase breather (PCV) clogged from years of grime.
Magnet Posted Tuesday at 05:20 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:20 PM Video doesn’t work for me Brett. Colour of the smoke? Does it use any coolant or oil? 1

Not sure why the video isn't working thought? I haven't had any warnings for using coolant or oil...albeit I've had coolant flush and expansion chamber changed about 2 weeks ago.
