2017 audi s ultra 2.0

good afternoon gents

ive probably made a schoolboy erroer here but here goes,

i wanted to  polish up the black plastic wiper scuttle panel so i went ahead and changed the wiper arm position using the mmi system.i also lifted the bonnet to gain access to all the nooks and crannies.after completing the work i attempted to return the wipers to the normal driving position but no movement. on pressing the rotary knob the tick is dissapearing from the wiper position box but then reappearing.ive also turned the ignition off and pushed the wiper arm down but still no movement.in the meantime ive had to manually push the wiper arms back into position so i can drive the car

any advise will be appreciated and acknoledge

many thanks

hi, just wondered, was the bonnet open or closed when you

tried to reset the wipers via the mmi??

I would open the bonnet, if it was shut, then close it smartly, and try

to reset the wipers again.      ( just a thought)

Hi gents

i closed the bonnet but it seems it just needed a firm push.

The bonnet open warning came up as drove forward after pushing the bonnet down all was good

mmi reset and pushing the wiper stalk down didn’t work until the bonnet was firmly closed

Hope that answers any further queries for members
