cliffcoggin Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Thanks for putting the recording as an attachment in today's message; I refuse to download anything from untrusted sources. The noise sounds very abnormal, though I have no idea what it could be. Is the braking normal when in motion, with no odd noises or pulling to one side?
Russ120194 Posted March 12 Author Posted March 12 Hi @cliffcoggin - no noises when driving or pulling as far as I can tell. The noise only seems to happen when stationary and pushing the break pedal. It’s quite loud, but the garage I purchased it off are saying it is completely normal. I fail to see how Audi would have delivered a car with that noise?

Audi are selling hybrid cars which irretrievably break down after a year or two. Audi is no longer the highly reputed company it once was.
Magnet Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Hello Russell, Apologies for jumping in on this thread. The car will either be within, or marginally outside warranty. Did you buy it from an Audi dealer? If so and selling dealer are saying it’s normal, then best option is to take it to another Audi dealer or trusted independent. Kind regards, Gareth.
Russ120194 Posted March 23 Author Posted March 23 Yes, Audibhave diagnosed the fault as the Break system pressure Accumulator being faulty. Makes a clicking noise when you press the break pedal. £2800 all in to replace!! £1900 for the part alone (
cliffcoggin Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Ye Gods! Is it not being done under guarantee, and if not why? As Magnet mentioned, the car should still be under warranty.
