barneysb Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Hi folks - i'm a new member ....promise to not be one of those post-n-run noobs! I recently changed 12v battery on my 2009 facelift model - and the white DRL's no longer light up, although they do still light up orange when indicating. I kept a trickle charge during battery swap too, so nothing was reset. DRL's are enabled in MMI (exterior illumination) also. Any simple things i can rule out ? (i haven't got vagcom)
barneysb Posted March 17 Author Posted March 17 nevermind....i'm being a numpty ! these never lit white in the first place
cliffcoggin Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Glad to read the problem was non existant. However I believe you still need to code the new battery to the car despite maintaining 12 volts during the swap. 1
barneysb Posted March 17 Author Posted March 17 You're right, strictly speaking, it should be coded. I've got an old OBDElevan, can't recall if it was possible using that, so will give that a try. If not then a local mech has vcds, so will give them a shout. 1
