I have a 2022 Audi A5 Cabrio Black Edition ex demonstrator which has to date done 21,300 miles. I do around 5,500 miles annually. Shortly before Christmas 2024, during the extremely cold weather spell, the drivers digital display failed to come on for around 20 minutes and this situation was repeated on a daily basis ever since. Sometimes it cna take seconds to appear and on other occasions it can take up to 30 minutes before the display reveals itself. When it does appear it functions perfectly. (I should add this is not the MMI screen but the driver's information screen containing speedo, rev counter, fuel and mileage etc...behind the steering wheel.) I have had it checked with my Audi dealer who say the equipment is not faulty and can only suggest replacing the digital display unit at a cost in excess of £3k !!  I felt that  it was a cold weather issue affecting either the connectivity or software but they are unable to diagnose nor repair any fault.

Has anyone else suffered any such similar ;problems or issues and if so how did they correct or resolve it? This morning I took the car out at midday, in 14.5 degrees temperature, and the screen functioned immediately I opened the door as it should do.

I would welcome and thoughts or suggestions

As Audi are claiming an issue with the cluster id recommend you look at instrument cluster repair specialists local to you.
