Red Robbo Posted yesterday at 05:19 AM Posted yesterday at 05:19 AM After 4 years ownership, i only noticed recently that with ignition on, but engine off/never started, i don't get the red oil can warning (low pressure) light. All the other usual suspects illuminate as they should (engine management light, handbrake, abs, airbag, steering, brake fluid, glow plug and red triangle with exclamation ❗ mark), but no oil can symbol illuminates. Is this a quirk of the A4 B9 2.0 TDI (2017), or have i a ropey wire off the oil pressure sensor? There are no warning lamps illuminated after the car has done it's own diagnostic check, and the engine is started, they all extinguish as they should, plus OBDeleven shows no fault codes (apart from a problem with the heated and cooled cup holder - i don't have this, and i didn't know it was a thing anyway! But the code always crops up!). So, is it correct (no oil can warning light with just ignition on)? Or is something amiss, even though no faults show? I've never had a car that doesn't illuminate the low oil pressure oil can lamp with ignition on. Oil check via the mmi service check is spot on too. Maybe i'm about to answer my own question here, but could it be something to do with the oil level sensor playing a part in it(?) Cheers
