I am having the exact same issue. I've got my car going into the audi garage next week. FM works fine. Audi A1 2018. Started I would say last saturday morning first thing, very strange.

Out of interest are the DAB channels themselves still appearing , but when you turn the volume slider it appears showing not available?

That’s weird mine too I came back off holiday got in the car and no DAB radio

please let me know how you go on

yeah that’s right when you turn the volume control it’s sort of faded and doesn’t do anything then a pic with a one through it appears again all of the previously tuned channels

is yours the same ?

Sounds about right, I have sent you a private message, if you would like I can send you photo and video of the issue to see if it aligns up.
Like I say im taking it into the garage but very interesting, at first I thought maybe a radio mast was down in my area but its been like this a week now.

It’s very strange and I don’t think we are the only 2 who’ve been affected if it’s a radio transmission issue

I've just had the same issue on my q3. All stations are there but the D1 National ones are not working, no sound then when you move the volume it shows the no connection symbol. The only one that works is classic which flips to FM. The BBC ones work on Dab though. Mine stopped working roughly last Saturday as well.

Chaps, may I suggest you contact your local dealerships and inform them of the issue as well as referencing this forum thread? @Mthom it was D1 national I noticed it on first, but there will be others not working too. Classical & BBC DAB stations works for me but it flips to FM I believe.
Far too coincidental now.

Will do, like you say too coincidental. The fact it's the same issue and timeline makes it look like a tech glitch or in need of a software update.

I've an A6 with factory fitted radio and have the same issue.  Sure it started about a week or so back, but I don't drive every day so cannot be exact.  Seems odd that all our radios stopped playing DAB channels at around the same time?

Mine stays tuned to Planet Rock almost exclusively, so I cannot comment on other stations going offline the same time.  That said, I've since tested it and don't have any DAB channels playing at all now.

I've not tried any sort of reset, even though a couple of searches have suggested that.

Be interesting to see if anyone else has this issue. Clearly not a geography or model of car issue.

Hi Mark try to scan your areas local channels and see if you have any luck with them

most of us affected can play the local ones but not the national ones

Cheers Dave,  I'll take a look n let this forum know how that goes then. Kind of you to reply!

Yep welcome to the club Amy 😅

So everyone has a Audi that is in the years ranging from 2014 - 2018?

@cliffcoggin do you know of any way of escalating this with Audi? That is, if they aren't already aware by now as it seems to be a widescale issue.

If you enjoy banging your head against a brick wall you could write to Audi UK Head Office.

I'll call them on Monday morning and let you'd group know what they said.  Almost certainty it'll be... We cannot diagnose over the phone,  please bring it in for a diagnostic check at £125 or something,  but you never know!

Just editing my post.  I'm an IT Engineer by trade and I just thought... I wonder what firmware all our radios have.. I'll look tomorrow and drop something here on how to check for those that don't know
