Jamesy256 Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Strange one guys. Had my s3 mapped at my door, standard ecu tune around 360bhp. I then fitted an r600 performance air intake and a res delete. Car ran fine for a couple of months but I鈥檝e had 2 gearbox malfunctions over the last couple of days when I鈥檓 driving hard. Car goes to redline stays there doesn鈥檛 !Removed! and the into limp mode on the gearbox. It鈥檚 under warrenty 馃 so I鈥檝e take the air filter and res delete out and taken her a drive. No she鈥檚 running fine. Shifts are perfect. I know it sounds crazy but in any way could them mods after the map cause a gearbox issue or has anyone had a similar problem. Thanks. James聽

Steve Q Posted April 9 Posted April 9 If under warranty get them to fix it. It'll need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. When was the gearbox last serviced?聽
Jamesy256 Posted April 9 Author Posted April 9 Can鈥檛 take it back until I get the map removed. Gearbox oil was done just over 2 months ago. My original thought was to stage 2 it but with a gearbox fault at stage one it鈥檚 making me think twice you get used to the power so quickly and always want more聽
Steve Q Posted April 9 Posted April 9 You can get the gearbox ECU remapped too. But if damage is done you might have to change megatronics unit聽
Jamesy256 Posted April 10 Author Posted April 10 Il take it to a mechanic and get him to stick the computer on it see what he says. Thanks for commenting聽
