Zy005736 Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Hi Audi Owners Club, I’m a brand-new Audi owner, just two days in! I recently bought an Audi A5 TFSI 40 Black Edition MHEV, a keyless car. It’s been a great drive so far, but I’ve noticed something unusual and a bit concerning. When I park up and turn the engine off but leave the music running while I’m still in the car, the system starts acting strangely. Every few seconds, it cuts out and then turns back on again. It also makes a strange, whirring noise during this process. I tried unplugging my phone to rule out any connectivity issues, but the problem continued. I didn’t notice this when I bought the car, likely because it only starts happening a few minutes after sitting idle, which I obviously didn’t do while viewing it on the forecourt. I’ve attached a video to demonstrate what’s happening. Please skip ahead to the 30-second mark to see the issue. Has anyone else experienced this or know what might be causing it? Thanks in advance! SCROLL TO 30 SECOND MARK PLEASE.MOV
Steve Q Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Id recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. This should be done by the dealer who sold it free of charge if purchased within the first 30 days of sale. 1
Zy005736 Posted April 9 Author Posted April 9 Thanks, Steve. I bought it from Big Motoring World in Enfield- quite disappointed with this but I will report back and let you know what they say.... I literally bought it on Sunday just gone!
Steve Q Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Keep us posted on how you get on. You're entitled to a full refund within the first 30 days so they should fix it free of charge
