Mark A6 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 @Smithers01 I spoke to Tyneside Audi and they'd not heard of the issue yet. i then called Audi UK and they were more helpful and have raised a technical case to have it checked out. They will call or email me with updates in the next day or two, they hope.
Dave321 Posted April 7 Author Posted April 7 Hi Mark thank you for the update When I got in my car this morning the local stations on DAB have now also disappeared so I’m having to use FM until we get a solution 1
Smithers01 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 (edited) I cancelled my booking I had setup with Tyneside Audi as im not wasting £150 to be told it could be various things x,y,z etc. They were not interested when I mentioned about multiple people having the same issue, person on the phone immediately asked for my reg and name to cancel the appointment. Glad to hear Audi UK were much more helpful Edited April 7 by Smithers01
Mark A6 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Interesting an hour ago they said they'd not heard of it then!!! And yes, I've done the same as I too hate wasting money
Amyp23 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Iv had a diagnostic reader on my car that my cousin did, it came up with no faults on it for the radio. 2
Dave321 Posted April 7 Author Posted April 7 Hi Amy in a way that’s great news alas unfortunately we’ve all still got the same problem even more confusing now
raycox Posted April 7 Posted April 7 I have a Audi Q3 3018 where I lost all of my national dab radio stations last week too. Any idea of Audi want £180 just to diagnose
Smithers01 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Welcome to the club. This is a widescale issue which needs investigating. Please list your MMI software version and the year of Audi vehicle. I have cancelled my booking with Audi. I suggest you don’t pay them anything at the moment whilst it’s looked into.
Mark A6 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 @Smithers01 good call. Happy to correlate and pass back to Audi on the back of the call I made earlier, if it helps. 1
Dave321 Posted April 7 Author Posted April 7 Hi Mark our numbers are growing daily we were all affected by the same issue roughly at the same time it’s deffo an Audi issue not a fault of any transmission or individual vehicle. 1
raycox Posted April 7 Posted April 7 (edited) This is my software version year is 2018 Edited April 7 by raycox 1
Smithers01 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 (edited) Has anyone got newer software than 'RMC_EU_P16342'. My suspicion is that it is this firmware and lower having the issue. Seems like RMC_EU_P16342 is the latest RMC firmware. 😬 End of the day, the cars were sold having DAB support. If this is now not available due to a specific software issue. Audi need to come out and fix this free of charge. It happening on various car models 2014-2018. I will try and raise a support case with Audi UK tomorrow. Edited April 7 by Smithers01
Mthom Posted April 8 Posted April 8 (edited) 2015 Q3 so looks like the software version is older, but same issue if no D1 national DAB stations Edited April 8 by Mthom Additional info
Noel07 Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Morning all, I'm very glad I found this thread, as I am having exactly the same issue and have been pulling my hair out trying to resolve it and thinking, oh no here comes a big bill! I will be following this closely and good luck Mr Smithers! 🤞 1
Dave321 Posted April 8 Author Posted April 8 Hi Noel welcome to the group we’re all in the same boat with this issue so hopefully one of us will come up with a solution
ROBK1985 Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Just to add I have a 66 plate Audi A6 SE Executive and mine too has had the same issue since early last week. Incredibly frustrating. Spoke to our local Audi Specialists where I take my Audi for all my maintenance works and they've heard of nothing so far. They logged onto their portal with Audi to check their latest bulletins, but there was nothing on there yet. Will upload a photo of my Firmware/Software Version later. Rob
DavidNew Posted April 8 Posted April 8 I've been chatting with Audi UK on X and they suggest I go to my local Audi dealership for investigation. I’ve said I’m not paying to identify a problem which is known and widespread since the move to DAB+ on the 31st March 2025 - they’ve escalated and said VW Audi know nothing about it. i think they are stonewalling for now.
Smithers01 Posted April 8 Posted April 8 @DavidNew well done you. Do not give them the £180 for a diagnostic. Amy posted yesterday that she had a diagnostic check done and the results were fine. Audi need to realise this is a major wide-scale issue with their infotainment systems. I didn’t realise this coincided with DAB+. I’ll research into the changes made. Having that information available might indicate why it’s no longer working. Or at least could be passed to Audi engineers (if they’re even willing to acknowledge!) I've spoken to a few friends who own VW vehicles and they aren’t seeing the issue. What with sharing some parts I thought this may be possible.
ROBK1985 Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Just on the DAB+ thing, and I'm no expert on these things, but I listen to Radio X every day (or did until this) from the D1 National channels, and they switched over to DAB+ in 2019, so I'm not sure it's that. Rob
Mark A6 Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Cheers all. I'll document this later and feed back to the person I'm speaking to at Audi UK too!
AliG Posted April 8 Posted April 8 I have a 2015 A6 and been having the same problem with D1 national stations would be great to find out how to fix it
