I think in order to understand what has been going on, we must accept that this hasn’t been a DAB+ issue. As I had previously thought and now proved by an above member who has contacted Global Radio, Radio X for one, has been DAB+ for years. Also, it would be rather a coincidence for all stations, from different media companies, Global, Bauer etc to have swapped to DAB+ on the same date, this problem has affected ALL stations broadcasting on D1 & SDL. I’ve little understanding of it all further to this but would be very interested if we ever get to the bottom of what has been happening to stop our MMI systems picking up these signals.

Now I know I am going mad!  In desolation I rescanned my Dab channel this afternoon and everything I have been missing is back!!  Virgin, talksport2.

Someone must have flipped this switch!! Someone back me up on this - I am in Devon.

Yes, was just want to post. I rescanned and all D1s are back. Capital Dance and all D1 were down since beginning of April. @Smithers01 you were one the first to post and replied to me.  All working now?

Hello all,

For the past 2 weeks I have been trying the "update all stations" every few days to no avail.

After reading the recent posts today, I have done another "update stations" (very top of radio station list screen) and all the D1 National stations are working in DAB.

Hopefully the issue will not appear again.

Well, that is weird, I have just done the same, and they are all back for me too.  Great news, but goodness knows what happened, and if it will happen again.

So why would it only affect A1, A6 and Q3 that all have H61 of the RMC MMI?

Can’t believe that we’ve all now got the missing DAB radio stations back working

I don’t understand what’s gone on since we all started to contact Audi and share and communicate and on this forum starting on the 4th April the involvement from everyone has been incredible and hopefully we’ve now got a long term resolution of the missing channels being restored

Thanks to everyone involved

Yep! Prompted by these posts I scuttled to the car, went to LBC… silence, but after about a minute while I was trying to work out how to rescan, it kicked in. The other ‘missing’ stations now come straight on. Whether it rescanned itself or whatever, I don’t care.

I don’t want to be picky, but an explanation from the otherwise oblivious Audi re why it a) went and b) came back would be good for confidence that it’s not going to happen again but, more significantly, in them.

Wow! Same here and a lot stronger signal it seems but I'll know better tonight.

Updated station list in response to previous posts all channels now back on

I can also confirm that both my A6 and my partners A1 have been retuned and D1 national and SDL national are back and working.

My partners A1 is back working now after the retune.  She also said there was no drop outs, which is remarkable considering how often it happened.

As someone with a logical mind, I can only think that there was a widespread issue with the transmission of the signal or a mistake with the 'frequencies' rather than with the radio itself.  No-one has touched the radio apart from doing a retune, so it wasn't hardware related.  I don't think Audi can do an 'over the air' update to any software either.  I wonder if we'll ever know what's caused it?

Mine are all back to after an update on the stations,  and someone before said they sound better.. it sounds more alive, almost like spatial sounds nearly from the early 80s! Hey boo!

Maybe a system upgrade someone did but forgot to tick the'broadcast' button??

Anyone who paid for the diagnostic test that revealed nothing should be asking for a refund !

I agree, it would be interesting to find out what the glitch was....

My son (the tech wizz) reckons the MMI system will have been updated remotely. I would have though my 2016 A6 would have been before the technology?

Audi offers remote firmware updates for certain models via over-the-air (OTA) technology. This means that you can update your car's software without needing to visit a dealership, according to Audi UK
