service indicator '03 a3 1.6 se petrol

on my '09 vw Passat I can reset the service light without a plug-in , I notice in the menu on the a3 there are computers 1 & 2 should I reset these   ? I haven't an owners manual .thanks.

I'm afraid not, to reset the longlife service interval, the adaption channels in the instruments need changing with a diagnostic machine.

_{there are 2 buttons on the instrument binnacle , to reset the service  warning you can pull the right one until the service warning comes up , let go , pull again until; the warning comes up let go and then the service warning is reset .}

Using the button method will set to a fixed 9000 miles/1 year interval.  As long as your happy with that
