Hi all

i have got a audi a3 tdi auto 2006 car drives and works fine until some one ran in the back of the car.

since the car has been in the work shop for repairs when i went to pick the car up the low battery warning light was on and they said if you take it for a long run it will go out ,did 50 miles never did in fact power steering light is on abs and airbags light are on now,

they have taken the car to audi's and said it is the speedo pod needs replacing at a cost of £926 which covers all parts and labour and testing to find the fault.

my point is if the car went in for repairs with no warning lights on then it should come back with out any on.

does any one know if these can be repaired or do i need the new one and also the right rear pad was smoking hot when stop is this just a sticky caliper or because the abs light was on

thanks

Richard

sounds like a typical flat battery and sticky brake caliper/pads....was it sat around in the bodyshop for some time?

ok should've reposted but been bit busy any way

i took speedo cluster out as if i brought one from audi would be a recon one and sent mine off to baa reman who sent it back to me with a bill of £120.00 and no fault found so when i fitted it back in car works ok they did say it could ve lost its memory from when body shop took battery of which they said they did not do but when i spoke to audi they said the body shop had put another battery on the car and tried a alternator as well which the body shop has told me they didn't do this liars i think.

i strip brakes down clean greased pins and everything is fine now apart from radio would not tune in so i stripped hatch trims off and they had left plug undone what a bunch of cow boys.

so DONT GO TO PANELCRAFT IN SWINDON which was recommended by audi to use !!!!!!
