Dan L Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 My partner is going to be looking for an Audi A3 Cabriolet in the next month or so. She currently has a 2013 A3 1.6TDI as a company car but now needs to hand it back. She has been impressed with her current A3, both the ride and economy. She will only drive an automatic. I'd like to get her something under 5 years old with under 60k miles, so I'm trying to decide on which engine/spec to look for. Economy is fairly important, her commute is 13 miles each way. She won't be doing a lot of long journeys, so I guess the small engine petrol could be an option - 1.2TFSI? Cheap tax band - Free/£20/£30 per year would be preferrable. My main question is, is the 1.6TDI Automatic only recently available - I can't find a definitive answer online about which engine sizes/transmissions are available for which model years - a link would be appreciated if anyone has one. Anything to look for when looking at the cabriolets in particular? Budget is £15k but the closer to the £10k mark the better. I've read quite a few review online, but I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to Audi's, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
