A4 Avant 1.8 FSTI 120 Petrol Consumption

Hi, I bought a 13 plate Audi A4 Avant 1.8 TFSI 120 last week. I drove it from Scotland to Yorkshire and back. Great car and drive. Only problem I could only get 30 mpg even driving at 60 in 6th on duel carriageway. I was promised a lot more and would never have bought this model if I had know.

 

Is this usual or could something be wrong or causing it??

Hi Avantman,

 

I have a A4 2.0 TFSI 63 plate and cannot get any better than 28 mpg on motorways when doing 70mph. even turning the aircon off doesn't give me any better results.

 

can anyone please tell us if these values are normal? I also was told that the car would give me around 40mpg at the indicated speed.
