Jez Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Hi, Just in the throws of purchasing a B7 Audi A4 2.0tfsi Quattro 55 plate. All fine except for one thing, car drove ok has low miles and full Audi history, but the engine was a bit top end rattly when started from cold, but nothing too alarming. After a 10min blast along some A roads came back to the garage and the noise from under the bonnet had increased. Almost sounded a bit camy. Car has only done 46000 miles with full history, but have since discovered these engines can suffer from premature cam lobe wear eventually affecting the cam itself and I think the fuel pump. If this is the problem can it be sorted relatively easily or shall I walk away now. The car however drove fine as I say. Had had the cambelt done. Any ideas people? Jez
