Quark Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 The MMI in my '55 plate A6 4.2 keeps constantly rebooting, even when thecar is switched off and locked. I have to disconnect the battery tostop it discharging overnight. I have tried the three button reboot andholding the mute button down for ages but it just boots up again thenturns itself off and then reboots constantly. Help please, it's drivingme nuts...... When it latches on, all the components seem to be working fine but then it turns itself off and reboots again... grrrr see pic: MMI booting and no key in the ignition........
Minky Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Hi I've just joined and bought 08 s line avant. This happened to me the other day. Hope this doesn't seem to easy but a couple of my buttons didn't seem to be returning as others and wandered if they are just a little sticky and mmi doesn't like it. Maybe some gentle freeing agent. What sort I don't know as you don't want to make it worse I'm sure there is a switch cleaner if this is the prob. Regards
Quark Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 Thanks for the reply - I have had it in the garage and the switches seem ok. Also replaced the amp with one from e-bay and it still had the same problem :( I've now pulled the fuses so it stops discharging the battery but it's still not fixed and I haven't got enough dosh to take it back to Audi..........
Minky Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Mm technology's great till it go's wrong Sorry just a simple thought
