arcon Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Okay - it's a 2006 Audi, a big car with a longitudinal engine. It may not be an A6 but i'm sure it is, a big car it is.The intercoolerhas burst at the bottom, where the plastic meets the radiator area andneeds replacing. Problem is there's no room to take it out fromunderneath and very little room from above. Light cluster gets in theway. The intercooler is vertical on the n/s corner of the engine. So what is the actual procedure for removing it?I'd love to hear your thoughts... but i'm thinking, bumper off, light cluster off, then pull it out of there???Removing the bumper:I believe there is only two bolts on the bumper? One behind each wheelarch, then it clips in the rest of it. Or can I just remove the one bolton N/S and unclip half way only?Removing light cluster:I say about the bumper because there is a bolt to the right/front of thecluster (accessed by pulling the top plastic up), a bolt accessed fromunderneath, above and to the left slightly from the receiver/dryer, thenthere is a third BEHIND the bumper at the front middle ??Or am I completely wrong here? Please correct me guys?
