KJB121 Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Hi, Picked up my dream car last Saturday - Audit TT TDi S Line, absolutely love it, but this morning after short 15 min run to work the fan continued to run for a period of time - is this normal??
James Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that can be normal. Did you keep an eye on the temperature at all and did you have the aircon/climate running? Car sounds lovely by the way you should post some photos up when you get a minute :)
daycartes Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Definitely OK. This is a regeneration (regen). You will notice, when this happens, that there is a lot of heat being emitted from under the car. It's perfectly safe and I believe it is caused by the 'soot' being burned off at a really high temperature. It can happen at any time, my first time it happened at Dover just before I was to get on the ferry after I had travelled 400 miles.

daycartes Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Yes, James. It's caught a lot of people out, including myself. They don't always explain it when you buy the car! I have noticed over time that the DPF regeneration happens less and less.
