Blueseal86 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Hello Audi owners club members. Lately I've been having a spot of bother with my b6 1.9. The problem started with the turbo failing on the motorway a couple of months back. The turbo was reconditioned with a new central core and installed back into the car and everything was ok for a time after that. Then over a few weeks the car has been developing a strange loss of power in accelerating occsionslly resulting in the car coming to a spluttery stop (I take it that this is limp mode, kind of shuddering and sputtering) Doing a vcds scan initially gave me this 17978 - Engine Start Blocked by Immobilizer P1570 - 35-10 - - Intermittent17564 - Manifold Pressure Sensor (G71) P1156 - 35-00 - Open/Short to Ground17569 - Manifold Temp Sensor (G72) P1161 - 35-00 - Open or Short to Plus17994 - Engine Mount Solenoid Valves (N144/N145) P1586 - 35-10 - Short to Plus - Intermittent17552 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70) P1144 - 35-10 - Open or Short to Ground - IntermittentReadiness: 0 0 X X X then I cleared the errors and used the car for a few more days before scanning again, This time the car did not throw any errors at all and still behves the same except it hasnt pluttered to a stop in a few days. Startng off from a cold start this morning was intersting to say the least as I was not able to pick up enough speed to go into 3rd (lack of power) then after about 20 seconds or so the car will recover then fly. this will happen quite a lot throughout a journey when moving down gears but its worst at the start. If anyone else has some light to share on this problem then that will be very much appreciated, I'm unsure if the problem is at all to do with the turbo, I suppose it could be unrelated. thanks.
