skillz1987 Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Hi everyone,i have had the engine management light turn on recently. I got someoneto carry out a diagnostic test and the code it gave was p0473 exhaustpressure sensor 1 g450 signal too high. Now the guy at the garage thinkseven though it says sensor fault it is probably the dpf with the issue. He tried selling me a dpf cleaning kit but i am not sure exactly if thesensor needs replacing or the dpf is just clogged.scan image attached.Any ideas? Help appreciated.
James Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 With that code I would first try fitting a new sensor and calibrating it, followed by a forced DPF regen. That would be the cheapest route. Failing that, try the DPF cleaner or remove the DPF and have it mapped (not technically legal for the MOT anymore though), or replace the DPF (most expensive option I would think).
