raykl Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Hi, I'm Raymond from Malaysia , i can't find any decent information on the Audi Q5 lucky i manage to find this forum from google. Before i trigger my loan calculator for this car , i will like to understand on the cost of ownership for this vehicle. Audi Q5 yr 2009. Did anyone own this car > 5 yr ? from other forum i see there are problem on gearbox which require to repair after 3-5 yr...is it true ? Is there any other issue for this age yr old car ? i & my wife like this car very much but if the cost of ownership is very high , we will not able to 'feed' it ...:)
James Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Hi Raymond welcome to the forum :) The Q5 is a nice car but as with any premium car it's worth having a bit of money aside in case of problems...
raykl Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 is there any idea what are the common issue on this car so that i can estimat the emergecy cash... wonder if i need to set aside of money for primary car usages...jajaj
James Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 What engine/gearbox are you looking to go for?
raykl Posted November 27, 2015 Author Posted November 27, 2015 i'm looking for a 2.0 petrol engine hear it was a tiptronic gearbox. is there any know issue around ... can i further check , usually when you bought the car where will you go for maintenance ? is there possible to get the maintenance history ? the car which i saw with UK car plate and the mileage is around 60k with 2009 yr old...hardly believe it i suspect someone amend it.
James Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Yes usually service history is very important and can effect the value of the car. Full service history from a main dealer is normally most desirable, followed by an Audi specialist and then an independent
raykl Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 Yupe , i trying to get hold of few people. with the mileage lock down to 60k for 2009 yr car , is it possible or common in UK with low mileage ?
James Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 There's definitely a few low mileage cars around but I guess it will depend on your budget
