Saxabay Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Today my passenger door won't open from the outside - it will open from the inside - when I unlock it with either the key fob or the door button it still won't open from the outside - pain in the backside - any advice would be appreciated
James Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Hi Roy - pretty sure it's a common fault I'm afraid. Likely to need a new latch and cable to stop the problem coming back again any time soon.
Saxabay Posted December 16, 2015 Author Posted December 16, 2015 I thought that James - thought about taking the door card off myself and then thought better of it
James Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 What's the plan then are you putting into a garage/dealer?
Saxabay Posted December 20, 2015 Author Posted December 20, 2015 Hi James - strange thing - door started opening from the outside yesterday ?? Strange
James Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Odd - I guess it could be an intermittent fault? Are you going to wait to see if it happens again or just get it booked in?
Saxabay Posted December 21, 2015 Author Posted December 21, 2015 I think your right James - won't open again - must be something electrical - booking it in in Jan to get the timing belt and water pump done so I'll get them to have a look at it then
James Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Yep, probably worth getting that sorted. Bit of an irritating fault to have really. I assume you're having to lean across and open for the meantime?
Saxabay Posted February 5, 2016 Author Posted February 5, 2016 Timing belt done £ 299 water pump didn't need done - door lock update - garage checked it and said it was fine - not done it since my last post - seams ok now - think I need to change tha headlight bulbs ( think there H7's ) any recommendations -? could do to be a lot brighter
James Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 If you want to stick with halogen then something like osram nightbreaker plus are quite good. You could do a xenon upgrade kit but a bit of a grey area legally so depends if you want to go down that route.
