Gtowsman Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Hi All Just purchased a 2010 A5 Cabriolet Quattro 2.0 TSFI with 57k on the clock and i've noticed if I rock the steering wheel back and forth there is quite a substantial knocking sound coming from the steering. Sounds like there is some play in the steering rack and it's knocking around however this is only 5 years old and done 57k so not what I would expect to hear. There is no play in the steering and the car drives fine. It mostly noticeable while stopped although I can still hear it when moving it's just masked by more engine/road noise. Any advice would be great. Thanks George
James Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Worth checking rubber bushes in the suspension too as they can perish
