Hi everyone,

I'm new here, had my 2011 A4 Avant for just coming up for a year now. Very pleased with it.

Audi are chasing me about extending my warranty. I'm not convinced at that price!

How much are they quoting?

Hi James,

All component cover is £822 and named components is £666. Both with £100 excess. 

I drive a lot of miles so I suppose these prices are to be expected. Warranty Wise are about the £600 mark and I have been bombarded with calls from them today looking to offer me a deal.

I'm wary of warranties and whether they will pay out.

It is a lot of money yes - shame it has an excess.

The Audi warranty will be significantly better than any 3rd party one, though warrantywise is probably the best of the 3rd party ones. I've read their small print though and they do get out of a lot of things. I'd advise you also read before taking out any policy.
