dtoru Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 ok so looking at getting a miltek exhaust for my 3.0 tdi a6 but dont want silly loud so i ruin the ride on long journeys. how loud are these please?
Brucielee Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Would you not stay with a standard exhaust and maybe get the tips changed or something if your not wanting silly loud, a 3.0tdi v6 if like my 2.5tdi v6 sounds great standard and would be a shame if I changed it for the worse
dtoru Posted May 24, 2016 Author Posted May 24, 2016 im wanting to change as tuning the car also so i assume stock would be restrictive. plus want it to sound better just not silly loud if you know what i mean. its totally silent at present no exhaust note.
James Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Chris, you may find Milltek offer a resonated or non resonated option which does indeed alter the volume a little, if they offer it for your car...
dtoru Posted May 25, 2016 Author Posted May 25, 2016 cool cheers for that ill look into it. what the free flow without the loud drone.
Joe Leman Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 Chris what exhaust system did you end up with ? Would like to give my 2006 2.7 a more sporty sound ! Cheers Joe 👍
niedzial1983 Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 Just get the back boxes cut out. Its sounds nice enough without it being annoying on long runs
Joe Leman Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 Piotr could you give me more detail with regard to what you mean please ? I do have a mig welder I am presuming you mean to cut the top side of the silencer open and remove what ? Joe 👍
niedzial1983 Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 Yes 2 ways of doing it. 1. Cut open the box and take all the stuff out and connect both ends with a pipe for oem look 2. Cut them out and get a straight pipe
