Davek1711 Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 hi all. I'm a newbie herw and after some assistance with a problem that has plagued me for 12 months. i have a s2 coupe 2.6e that the battery keeps draining down on. Have Had it in for electrics to be looked at with no joy so going to investigate myself. Think it may have something to do with my windows and roof as have noticed that when the ignition is off and no key in that the window switch lights are on, Windows work and so does roof. This is intermittent however Anyone out there have any ideas please Xheers Dave
Trevor Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Hi Dave...welcome to the club! Sorry to hear you're having problems with your Audi...especially electrical ones. I'm sure someone else has had this issue before...hopefully someone will know the solution? I can only advise disconnecting each component in turn by removing the fuse and with a multimeter attached measuring amps (ignition off, key removed) and see which systems power down and are no longer drawing current which will indicate the area to investigate. Best of luck, Trevor - Admin
BlackCoupe Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Hi, The window switches do stay illuminated when you turn off the ignition and remove the key...however they should go off once the door is opened!
Nick H Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Check your door switches. If not that it's the timing out mechanism for windows/sunroof and radio. They don't switch off till door opens or ignition off for 5 minutes there abouts
