Groaning noise - please help!

Hi guys,

Just got a 2005 2.0 Tdi SE, nice spec with full black leathers and the navigation plus!

However, its has 165k on the clock so as to be expected it's got some niggles. My main concern is a dull groaning noise that I think gets louder under acceleration - any ideas?

I also have a non-flashing engine warning light, most likely related I'll get that checked on a diagnostics reader asap.

Any ideas please guys?

Most likely a wheel bearing or CV joint. Engine light could be anything as you said get the faults read.
