Bigfub Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 My other half doesn't drive huge distances so I was thinking that as she's always wanted one it might be a good idea to fulfil that dream. Any way, I've come across a cheap mk1 with high motorway miles but fsh (18 stamps) new roof, roof motor etc, cam-belt + waterpump. Would it be worth taking the gamble given that it's not huge sums of money?
Audi Owners Club. Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Sounds like a good car .... well maintained, motorways miles (always better than round-town miles, I believe), lots of new parts. Go for it !!!! 1
Bigfub Posted June 30, 2016 Author Posted June 30, 2016 That's my thought too so will hopefully go and see it on Saturday ;)
Audi Owners Club. Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Let us know how you get on and pop up some piccies of it if you can
Bigfub Posted June 30, 2016 Author Posted June 30, 2016 Will do, must get some pics of my A8 up at some stage too ;)
Bigfub Posted July 4, 2016 Author Posted July 4, 2016 Well, the TT isn't pristine but all the paperwork was present with 18 stamps in the book, a new hood and she drove perfectly. Left a deposit on the basis that they get a new MOT :) 1
Bigfub Posted July 6, 2016 Author Posted July 6, 2016 MOT'ed for 12 months and being delivered on Saturday as an early birthday present for my fiancee. Can't really complain at £1500 but she is definitely going to inflict some damage on me
Audi Owners Club. Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Looks fantastic...all you need now is some sunshine :-) Enjoy !
wendy Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 I would too,i have a red one with red leather for sale but it has 150000 miles on,but serviced regularly, i think the service history is the most important
Audi Owners Club. Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 150000 miles...that's good mileage but as long as it has been maintained correctly it's not really an issue...good luck with the sale Wendy.
