diy service on 2011 a4 136bhp 20 tdi

Hi guys I do my own servicing and maintenance, so can I do oil change or do you have to suck the oil from the engine .any advise would be very much appreciated

I always prefer to drop the oil out of the sump as it allows for sediment, etc that may be laying at the bottom of the sump to naturally flow out with the oil....can't guarantee that sucking the oil out gets past the baffle plates, etc.
