Audi Owners Club. Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 As suggested by HarktheAudi (Ross)...this topic has been started to compile a list of regional specialist repairers as recommended by you, the Forum members. Let's see how it grows and then maybe if eventually sufficient listings on here we can then split it into regions. Go for it !
Audi Owners Club. Posted July 28, 2016 Author Posted July 28, 2016 Just now, Trevor said: HI guys I've just bought a 2.0 TDI cabriolet and it needs a service. My nearest Audi specialist is in Harold Wood (Essex). Wondered if anyone knew whether they were any good and whether there were any good independents around. No apparent issues but it's only had an oil and filter change 10k ago and want to look after it - absolutely loving it so far. Thanks very much Russell Anyone got any recommendations ?
gruntfutuk Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I'd appreciate recommendations of independents in the Telford area as my A5 is just coming to the end of the 3 year warranty period. No significant problems yet, although I'd like to find someone to check the wheel alignment (Audi charge a fortune and I do not believe they do a good job.)
Brad-B5 Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 This place is amazing (North London) picks your car up and drops it back off (for free) likes to explain everything in detail and isn't talking bull like I know other garages do and have done to me. Patrick like to speak to all his customers face to face and very reassuring and great guy and goes out his way to do thing's for you, worked for Audi for years so you know you can trust him with your car, fully competent, 10/10 for customer service and the work that he's done. He's genuine and doesn't try to get money out of you, (he told me to research things on Google and forums and see if I can do bit's myself to save some money) http://www.automotivecomponentsspecialist.com/ 020 3532 1275 3
Mark R1 Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 I can recommend AVS in Redruth, Cornwall. Audi trained mechanics using genuine Audi parts and will repair before replacing parts. Honest, reliable and much cheaper then Audi. 2
liampunkdaft Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Anyone know if the Audi DSR can be updated from specialist garages or does it need to be by Audi? I work for Mazda at the moment and noticed on some of the digital service records some non dealer garages can update this.
WPAWS Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 anyone in the Andover area i use Martins of Andover VW specialists but the guy who services my Audi used to work for Audi so knows his way around the car, never had any problems and they will not look for work that really does not need doing. 1
fast edd Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 V.A.S. Holton heath industrial estate . Poole Dorset . Genuine Vag parts . Really nice guys.. 1 1
Rob82DZL Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Just now, Rob82DZL said: These guy come highly recommended: http://www.lmkservicecentre.co.uk/ They actually lease the genuine diagnostic software for all VAG group cars which goes way beyond the VAGcom software or any other 3rd party diagnostic tools. Just off the A3 at Clanfield, Hampshire. 1
Alal Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Hi All Can anyone recommend any Audi specialists in the Romford area? I am looking to get some work done on my 2012 A7 3.0 TDi. I need to get my transmission fuel changed apparently and also need a brake fluid change according to Audi. Harold Wood Audi have quoted me £500 for a transmission fluid change and about £50 (not sure of this figure) for a brake fluid change. Do these figures look reasonable? Should I look for a cheaper quote locally? I can see that I can purchase the a kit from eBay for around £130 for the transmission fluid change. Saw some videos online and can see that the process requires a computer to be plugged in. Is that necessary or can a local mechanic carry out this job without a computer. Would appreciate if someone can recommend a good indy garage locally and whether it would be better to go main dealer for these two jobs.
GaryK Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 For anyone in the North East region I highly recommend the independent Audi centre linked below. Very honest, reliable and trustworthy. See my previous posts for my experience of them. http://www.swiftmotorengineering.co.uk/ 1

Adam Rhodes Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 I need to know if I can use the ECU clocks locks and keys from a automatic to repair a manual Audi A3 of the same size? Desperately need any assistance in this matter
S4_SLEEPER Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 The guys at TC Garage (https://www.tcgarage.com/) are located close to Gatwick airport, used them to carry out all the upgrades and general work on my car todate. I have moved away but still drive a fair distance to get any work done by them, especially after I have had some less than positive experiences with Audi main dealers. Above is one of the early upgrades recommended by TC Garage, money well spent.
PeteB Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 Mine is sat in S Line Automotive, Loughborough. I'll let you know how it goes.....
Keepbuyingaudis Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 Hi all, im new to the club so hopefully there is someone out there who can assist. I bought a VAG COM thinking I could self diagnose the battery drain on my Q7, the only thing i've found out is that I am clueless and need a specialist. Audi Nottingham couldn't figure it out and told me to go to a specialist (I thought Audi was the specialist). Does anyone have any recommendations for anyone that has experience in VCDS/Audi electrics reasonably close to Nottingham? I'm on my second new battery and would love to drive the car again. I'm happy to travel further afield if anyone knows someone really good (and not too pricey) Cheers
S4_SLEEPER Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 Hi Mark, Welcome, my experience of Audi main dealers is that they are not mechanics and therefore tend to be poor at diagnostics, but they are specialists in replacing parts. I would give TC Garage a call and explain what you are experiencing, also what you have done to-date, the downside is they are a good distance away from you, maybe someone can suggest a place closer. https://www.tcgarage.com/services/ All the best Edward
james brown Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 Recommend independent audi and vw dealer FORGE GARAGE Aberaeron Ceredigion Wales.
Didster Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 Hi all, total noob to Quattro and to Audi forums, just wondering where the nearest independent specialist to Heywood Manchester is? I Bought an A5 not so long ago n i'm wanting to get a health check on it, thanks in advance, Dave 💪🏻
JOECASH Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Grateful for a heads up on an Audi A8 independent specialist Nottingham Area Thanks in anticipation
Seb Green Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 I can highly recommend VAG Bolton - taken both my S4's there and always had stellar service. Everything form minor serving right up to DSG issues which main dealer didn't want to touch. https://www.vagbolton.com/ Ask for David (Owner) and tell him Seb recommended you. He will look after you.
