Audi A6 / Rocker Cover Gasket V6

Hey Guys,

This might be a stupid question so I want to apologise if it is.

My dad has the N-Reg Audi A6 SE with the petrol V6 engine (2.6 I think?).  He is looking to get a new Rocker Cover gasket but someone told him that only one gasket is required but being a V-engine, wouldn't two gaskets be correct?  He was told that one gasket covers both Rocker Covers?  This can't be true, can it?  I am under the impression that each gasket is separate so two are required, am I right?

looking at the available parts for the A6, there is clearly a left and a right so can only assume there are two seperate ones
