yaza01 Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 hi all seems you can get 12v alternatora and 14v alternators anyone know which is the correct one cheers
Trevor Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 most alternators would provide an operating voltage of between 12 to 14 volts which fluctuates depending upon power demands. the only difference I can think you may be presented with is the output current (e.g. 60 amps, 80 amps, etc)
yaza01 Posted October 13, 2016 Author Posted October 13, 2016 o okay because previous owner replaced alternator and said after he did the traction control light comes on after 10mins or so euro car parts sell 12v and 14v alternators cheers
Trevor Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 I can only imagine he may have unplugged a wire from somewhere close to the alternator to affect the traction control or spiked the electronics when fitting it?
