willos90 Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Hi i am new to A7 ownership and very happy with the car and how comfortable it is. I had a warning of the key fob battery low so i then changed the battery in the fob and now it won't open or close the door and have to hold the key up to the keys sensor on the dash in order to start the car. The small led light on the fob no longer flashes do i need to get the fob re-sycned at audi? The other problem is the convince key doesn't seem to open or close the doors either even with both key, what could be the cause of this Regard Will
Audi Owners Club. Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Hi William...welcome to the Forum Here is a video clip of how to replace the battery, just in case you missed something vital....battery direction, etc. To programme the key to the car follow these instructions: Insert your key in drive side door, unlock it. (key to the left) open it. close door. lock it by turning key to the right. open door again and then turn the engine on. That should do it, let us know if it works. Cheers Trevor
willos90 Posted November 8, 2016 Author Posted November 8, 2016 Hi Trevor My key is the convenience key so doesn't have the flip out key shown in the video and it didn't work i also have to turn my key to the right to unlock the car.
Audi Owners Club. Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 That blows that theory then ! I'm not sure if any other members can offer assistance, if not then I would advise taking it to an Audi specialist who should be able to re-sync it to the car
