A5 2.7tdi or 3.0l?

Hi guys,

I'm going to look at a 2011 A5 2.7tdi at the weekend. Is it worth the journey? Haven't been able to find much info on the 2.7 engine although a friend has said they have problems? I can only find 2 for sale too which seems strange. If so is it worth going down to the 2.0? Any advice would be greatly received

Hi Matthew....welcome to the Forum.

I believe there are several faults with the 2.7 engine but mostly the complaint that crops up most often is the under achieving MPG figures compared to manufacturer claims.

Maybe the 2.0 would be better for local trips but it all depends on how and where you drive it.
