ryanfox1992 Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Hi guys, I have a 2.0 Audi TTS convertible 2010 272hp. Was thinking about getting it remapped as I see that can improve power a lot! Anyone had anything like this done? Any recommendations? Should I stay away from the idea? I appreciate your help :) Ryan
Trevor Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 I think a remap (if done properly) is not an issue as long as you don't push it beyond the limits then you could be into reliability issues. Remaps don't just increase power but also alter the torque for improved drivability and economy. Just find a reputable company with good reviews. 1
ITP Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 I've recently installed a Superchips Bluefin remap onto my TTS after 2 years of ownership and I honestly can't believe I didn't do it sooner. I can't comment on long term reliability as I've only had it on a few weeks, but the difference it's made to the car is very noticeable, and in a very good way! My car has excellent service history and I think as long as you do your proper maintenance you're not going to have problems. Just bare in mind that if there are already underlying issues the remap may well highlight the problems due to the extra strain being put on the engine and components. My opinion is make sure the car is mechanically sound and, if so, go for it! You definitely won't regret it! 1
