Avant Auto Gearbox Fault

Hi all

My 2004 Avant 1.9TDI auto is starting to judder at low rpm pull away. I understand this can be a problem at higher mileages [130K]

I want to change the box ATF as I dont think its been done but there is no pan/filter. Only the drain and refill plug.

Is this a DIY, if so, what sort of cost or is the £199 quoted by Audi a sensible amount [Inc VAT and a free car valeting]

Hi Paul...welcome to the forum

That doesn't sound too bad if they can guarantee (i doubt they would though) that the fluid change will solve the problem.

Also, they would use the correct fluids which is not too bad when you look at the overall cost
