Boot not locking

Hello. This as happened the last couple of times now. When I wash my car using a hosepipe , the boot if then opened will not catch.

And you can hear a solenoid noise working, but if you press the window wash button the boot will then catch but not fully close.

Any help anyone.

Hi Steve...welcome to the Forum

Sounds like a strange problem...cannot think of anything logical that would help in this instance.

Hopefully, some other members may be able to shine some light on it...anyone ???
