AUDI S4 2009 3.0 TFSI PLASTIC WATER PUMP ISSUE

Hi Everyone,

Just bought my 1st Audi an S4 B8 2009 model, 6MT with full ADS and sport diff. I have read on the internet that some of the 2009 engines have the plastic water pump fitted which is prone to failure. Mine has covered 44K Miles and has full Audi service history, There is no record of the water pump being replaced.

Has anybody had experience with this issue? , Should I get the water pump replaced? Audi have upgraded the design to a aluminium type.

I would advise if in doubt, get it replaced for peace of mind

Thanks for your input, I am going to check that it has not been replaced by an independant garage and follow your advise, peace of mind sounds good.
