Hi all,

new member here with my first cry for help please. Audi 3 ltr A6 2007. When I turn the ignition switch it starts to crank over and starts eventually without warming the ignitors. Anyone got any idea on why it is by passing switch position one. Also having an issue with drivers door not unlocking by remote which for some reason I feel may be related? Any pointers much appreciated, before I research ignition switch replacement.

Best Rgds

Hi Steve...welcome to the Forum

I would say the faults are not related. Firstly, the door lock could be a faulty solenoid or disconnected linkage from the solenoid.

Secondly, the ignition switch could be faulty if it is not going to the first stage but haven't heard of this fault before.

Anyone shed any light on this ????

Cheers  Trevor
