potatopotato Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Hi all, The sensors on our A3 don't work (haven't since we bought it) but with Christmas out the way I can get round to sorting it out. One long beep when selected reverse which I believe just lets you know there's a fault. The same happened on a Passat my stepdad had so I'm guessing this is pretty common, if so is there something this usually is? Does one sensor going down take out the rest like 80s spec fairy lights? Thanks Mike
Trevor Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 The way to quickly test the sensors is to switch the ignition on but with the engine off, engage reverse gear and go round the back of the car. Listen very closely to each sensor and they should emit a very feint clicking noise if they are working okay. Let us know what you find Cheers Trevor
cliffcoggin Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 The single long bleep I believe is just to confirm reverse gear has been selected.
