LEE131
Hi, I'm in the process of upgrading from my a3 2006 tdi dsg, we are looking at either a 2011 a3 sportback sport auto 73k or a 2009 59 a3 tdi black edition Sline 95k, Both are auto and in white, the 11 plate has the start/stop,cheaper tax band, lower mileage and is 170bhp, 59 plate has more miles, older, higher tax band, only 140bhp but has the S line and BE options and looks very nice. Its for the Mrs and ill use at weekends, sensible women women the 11 plate..but the older one takes it for me Any thoughts or recommendations please???? Brad-B5
I like both, at the end of the day it's if you like it and it will fit around your life style, I'd say go with your gut :)
LEE131
Thank you for the comment. Yes I agree,I like both but the s line has it for me. And it also come to a the age and mileage and having problems on the older higher mileage model. If they were same year it wouldn't be a question. Brad-B5
Is the S line a diesel or petrol? also think you should have a look in person but lower mileage doesn't always mean better condition or less problems, depends on how the other owner/s looked after it. :) Regards Bradley
LEE131
Hi Bradley That's the issue they are both over 150 miles away in different directions.. They are both diesel see pics below. And both have 2 owners and fsh. Lee
Brad-B5
Hmm, in that case i think the lower Mileage ( 2011 a3 sportback sport auto 73k ) because even though the the black edition looks more sporty it could come with more issues, but then 93k on a diesel engine is still pretty low. the sportback 73k has more life in it if you're planning on doing alot a miles and keep it for a while. LEE131
It's a tough call isn't it.... as you say it's on preference really. Think we will go with the 2011 model maybe a better investment and won't loose as much in 3years we we upgrade again... Although I want the sline. I'm no longer a boy racer.😣
Brad-B5
I agree, get the 2011 model :) also you can always get a sline one day, never say never ;) Keep us updated on whats happening I'd be very keen on seeing a few more pics and your thoughts on it too! LEE131
Picked up the 61 plate last week and glad I did. Drives like a dream a and Mrs is happy too. Still trying to work out glow to link the phone though? Had a button on steering wheel in which when pressed says "insert phone". Any ideas?

Trevor
I see you followed your head not your heart then, Lee. There are some guides in the Forum about synching the phone, etc http://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/forum/89-audi-technical/ http://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/tutorials/
