Brad-B5 Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Hi all Just wondering if it's worth doing an EGR delete on the B5? Regards Bradley
rbdazza Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Is the B5 a PD? Scrap that question, Is it a diesel? If so, yes !!!
Brad-B5 Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 Yes a diesel :) so is it hard to do, anything that could go horrible wrong? I've heard people just shutting it off through a code or something.
rbdazza Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 and yours is a PD right? you can remove the EGR and replace it with silicone hose. that will get rid of all your problems but leave you with a light on your dash. you'll need to get it mapped to remove the light, get it powered up at the same time. for the PD you can get a black smoke remap for like £50, you just need to find someone with the right lead to put it on for you
Brad-B5 Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 PD? sorry still learning some lingo haha and ah okay cheers for the advice :)
rbdazza Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 pump deuse, just the type of engine. do you know what BHP it is? being a 2000 it is probably a PD
rbdazza Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 yeah the 115 is PD. get it re-mapped and egr delete, you'll never look back 1
jbh110tdi Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 yip first thing I do with a diesel is do the EGR delete.. Ive mainly had the older 110 AFN VE engines but yea Ive found better MPG, improved throttle response and cleaner running on every one Ive deleted the EGR on.
