Brad-B5 Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Window wipers acting up! When I turn them off or press down for 1 go it clicks and does it again clicks again does it again ect then stops in a random place, the clicking is coming from the fuse box, but not sure if it's a fuse or the motor. Thanks
stu Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Wouldn't say it was the fuse as your getting the power to the motor and the clicking should be the solenoid opening and closing I would check that all your linkages are free moving and not giving unnecessary stress to the motor first.
Brad-B5 Posted February 27, 2017 Author Posted February 27, 2017 sorry for the late reply guys! Thanks for the information, how can I check this? not sure where the cables are ect, It's still doing it, clicks and sometimes stops in random places
Trevor Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 Would find the relay and replace it with another one to confirm if faulty or whether it's a wiring issue. http://www.ebay.co.uk/dsc/Relays/61522/i.html?_ddo=1&_os=PS|D&_ipg=100&_from=R40&LH_TitleDesc=1&_nkw=audi+a4+2000+8d2+b5+1.9+tdi&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1311.R1.TR1.TRC0.A0.H1.XAudi+A4+2000+8D2%2C+B5+1.9+TDI+wiper+relay.TRS0&_odkw=Audi+A4+2000+8D2%2C+B5+1.9+TDI&_osacat=61522 A few different relays here but I'm sure they're common across the VW Audi Skoda range
Brad-B5 Posted March 28, 2017 Author Posted March 28, 2017 Hi Trevor Would you 377 or 389 for the window wiper relay?
Trevor Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 sorry Bradley, not sure....if they're cheap enough, get both just in case
Brad-B5 Posted June 2, 2017 Author Posted June 2, 2017 Right Update: It wasn't the relay it was the motor on the way out, bought a new one and will be fitted soon :D
